This paper is to provide a literature review of how marijuana affects human body and health. To understand the danger of marijuana use and to have more knowledge as to how it should be used in medical settings, I reviewed three articles that examine various factors that can be results of cannabis use which would eventually have serious influence on human body. The first article presents negative effects of marijuana based on previous research results, demonstrating adverse outcomes regarding how marijuana use affects human particularly in a psychosocial and medical perspective. On the other hand, the other two articles show a little different approach that conducts a research by collecting actual data from participants to obtain more accurate and reliable results. One is about how cannabis use affects pregnant women and their fetuses, and the other research attempts to discover the prevalence of marijuana use and a correlation between cannabis use and outpatients with mental illness receiving treatment for alcohol use disorders.
