Title: Measurement of pH of common drinks (Experiment 1) / Influence of antacids as buffer on changes of pH of aqueous solution (Experiment 2).
Introduction:
Experiment 1:
pH of an aqueous solution is defined as the decimal logarithm of the reciprocal of the hydrogen ion activity in the solution. We, in our ordinary lives, come across various drinks with various pH. In order to know how acidic/basic each drink is, we measured the pH of common drinks (coke and orange juice) in two different ways, and hypothesized that orange juice would be lower on the pH scale than coke.
