The following experiment investigates on calcium carbonate, which is more commonly known as limestone. Calcium carbonate (CaCO_3) reacts with Hydrochloric acid (HCl), producing Carbon dioxide gas (CO_2). The chemical equation for the reaction is shown below:
CaCO_3 (s)+2H_3 O^+ (aq)→Ca^(2+) (aq)+3H_2 O(l)+CO_2 (g)
However, in reality, many of the substances present contain impurities and additional substances. Hence, even in this following experiment, the CaCO_3 sample given does not 100% consists of CaCO_3. Therefore, additional analysis and calculations are often required to find the percent mass as well as other values.

Conclusion
To conclude, average molar volume of Carbon Dioxide gas obtained from the experiment was 48.04 L/mol whereas the average percent mass of Calcium Carbonate was obtained to be 33.90%. Since the findings from the two trials had a wide range of differences, when compared with additional data, I believe that our findings may be highly inaccurate due to various errors which influenced the experimental procedure.
