Anomie means as rapid industrialization happens, changes in labor division occur and traditional values, rules, and norms are not applicable to maintain the society. Meaning becoming a normless state. Emile Durkheim, a French sociologist presented the keyword ‘anomie’ when he tried to explain how modernization changed crime patterns. There are many aspects we could look into when we explain the state of anomie. Crime patterns among juveniles, elderlies, or change in property and violent crime rates can be explained by the concept of anomie. However, a new type of crime that has never existed in the past has been arising in our society. This crime is called ‘cybercrime.’
What is cyber crime and what do we know about cyber crime? According to Dennis, Cyber crime is
Cybercrime, also called computer crime, the use of a computeras an instrument to further illegal ends, such as committing fraud, trafficking in child pornography and intellectual property, stealing identities,or violating privacy.
