Speakers utilize finite rules to generate and grasp possible infinite structures. In grammar, linguistics rules developed during language acquisition such as sound formation (phonology), sound (phonetics), the property and construction of words (morphology and lexicon), words combined into sentences and phrases (syntax), and the relation of sounds and their explanations (semantics) form the basis of language mastery. To illustrate, sounds and the importance of linked individual words interconnect in an arbitrary manner. Besides, the word syntax requires prior knowledge of the word to enhance its meaning by sound. Moreover, signed gestures are also related to their meanings. Notably, Language also helps to associate sounds and gestures with their defined explanations. (Linguistic competence) is thus varied from (linguistic performance) behavior and necessities for competence to enhance the production of million-word sentences while inhibiting performance limitations such as retention and endurance from re-occurring.
The various classifications of grammar include descriptive grammar, which its speakers characterize the linguistic acquaintance. This type of grammar is a representation of mental grammar possessed by each language speaker. Nonetheless, it does not impart the guidelines of the Language to speakers. Additionally, we have prescriptive grammar. This form of grammar attempts to define one’s grammar by specifying the standard grammar usage. However, it utilizes written Teaching grammars, which are prescriptive, to aid individuals in learning foreign Languages or dialects from their native languages.
