본문내용
The behavior of humans and the other primates are very similar. Their bio-chemical and anatomical figure is also close to human. To get more specific information, I did some researches on web sites. According to the Naver (2005) web site, the non-human primates, which most close to human, are chimpanzee, orangutan, and gorilla. However, there are some differences also exists. In this paper, I will state the brief description on these three non-human primates, and move on to compare and contrast those with human.
The biggest primate is gorilla which lives mountain base and forests in Congo. Adult male weighted about 230kg, and female weighted about half of the male. They mostly stand with two limbs, and move by supporting the other limbs on the ground. They are herbivorous animal, especially prefer bamboo leaves. They live with family which usually consist of one patriarch, 2~3 other males, and up to 6 females and young. Because they do not persist own area, they do not fight with other group. Since they live in thick forest, they are known as rough fierce animal to people, but recently became clear that they are gentle. The orangutans are as big as human adult male which lives forest in Borneo and Sumatra island area.
