점차 고령화 사회가 되어가고 있는 우리 사회 속에서 나타나는 노인 문제에 대하여 영어로 작성하였습니다.

The percentage of senior citizens in Korean society is increasing steadily as is the case in many developed countries and the preparation for this problem is insignificant. Ultimately, this society will be faced with a serious senior problem. Nevertheless, Korea citizens still are not concerned about it. In The Twelfth Night of Shakespeare, there is a dialog saying "Youths a stuff will not endure.", it means youth does not last long. Being young in present should concern about the seniors because they will also become a senior. It is a duty for young citizens to protect and take care of the seniors. Due to no counterplan about seniors, Korea is facing a lot of problems such as seniors suffering from mental and physical pains, lack of social welfare facilities and weakening Korea`s economy growth.

First, seniors are suffering from mental and physical pains. They are living in poverty and loneliness. It is true that they are treated distantly by their family and also from society. Youths and adults are mostly living in the cities leaving elders in the province. As a result, seniors health changes for the worst and they have no one th depend on, so they live a solitary life. When seniors get older, the possibility of contracting diseases such as imbecility increases, but this society lacks medical treatments and facilities for seniors. However, for the upper class seniors, they can be cared in a facility such as silver town, but most of them have to live in physical pains. For example, if they can not see well of can not hear clearly, they just have to live with it if they do not have enough finances.
