Nowadays, according to the development of technology and medicine, patients and their families can choose the way to death. We call it is the “right to die,” and about the way to die, every person has his own idea.
The term "right to die" refers to various issues around the death of an individual when that person could continue to live with the aid of life support, or in a diminished or enfeebled capacity. In some cases, it refers to the idea that a person with a terminal illness and in serious condition should be allowed to commit suicide before death would otherwise occur. Generally, the concept is called dying with dignity by supporters (Right to die).
I believe that everybody has the right to die. However, the choice of death is really hard and some people can not choose to live or not. Also, some people who suffer from serious illness should select death by his/her opinion. Nowadays, people vegetable problem is raised for controversial issue in society. The problem of the right to die also includes people’s morality, money, and religious problems.
And the right to die has some fundamental questions whether a life of petition is worth life or not. People have the right to decide when and how to die. In my opinion, everyone has right to die by their opinion. Of course, the remaining parents, husband, wife, kids and friends would feel sad and depressed. However, the one’s life is filled with one’s choice. So, I think the people who suffer from illness and pain, or people living on life support have to choose their life with their own decision.
In the United States, the State of Oregon has "Death with Dignity Act" since 1994. That measure permits doctors to prescribe a lethal drug dose but not administer it and established rules to ensure patients seeking assisted suicide are mentally competent, in great pain, and intent on ending their lives. Since the law took effect in 1997, more than 200 people have committed suicide with the aid of a physician, according to the Oregon Department of Human Services (Right to die: Overview).
