Are you an average American who eats three hamburgers and four orders of french fries every week? If so, how does your shape looks like? Is it similar to a figure of Morgan Spurlock, who ate only McDonald’s for 30 days, in a documentary movie Super Size Me? These days obesity is not a problem only for adults, but also a big problem for children. Who do you think should be responsible for childhood obesity? There was a lawsuit people sued a fast food company. They claimed about that fast food companies have a responsibility for their obesity. But a court said if people prove those fast foods are really harmful to our body, they will go through this case again. This is one of the reasons why Morgan Spurlock decided to make a film like Super Size Me. Obviously, fast food industries have some responsibility, but also a government, schools, and families are all responsible for childhood obesity problems. All these groups should take actions to prevent over 70 percent of Americans become overweight in three decades.
Out of many groups, families are the most responsible for their, especially children’s, health. According to an article, it said more than 90 percent of American children eat at McDonald’s every month (“Should Fast Food” 1). Do you think children go to the McDonald’s by themselves? Parents bring them to fast food stores. Children are too young to think what is important for their health and hard to control their habits by themselves. Instead of going to the McDonald’s with children, parents should give them healthy snacks, such as fruits and salads,
