본문내용
UNIT4. The distinction between codes and ciphers is commonly misunderstood.
"코드"와 "암호" 의 구별은 종종 혼돈된다
A code is essentially a secret language invented to conceal the meaning of message.
코드는 필수적으로 메시지의 의미를 감추기 위해 고안된 은밀한 언어이다.
The simplest form of a code is the jargon code, in which a particular arbitrary phrase - for example, the bird sings at dawn - corresponds to a particular predefined message that may not - in fact, should not - have anything to do with the jargon code phrase.
코드의 가장 단순한 형태는 jargon code 로서 이는 특히 임의적인 형태의 구이다. 예를 들어 “새벽에 새가 노래한다” 는 특별히 이미 정의되어진 메시지와 상응할수도 있고 그렇지 않을수도 있다. -사실 jargon code의 구와는 관련이 없도록 상응하지 않아야 한다.
The actual meaning of the above might be,"The supply drop will take place at 1:00 A.M. tomorrow." 위의 실제적인 의미는 “ 공급의 하락이 내일 오전 1시에 발생할것이다” 가 될 것이다.
Jargon codes have been used for a ling time,
jargon code 는 오랫동안 사용되어 오고 있다
most notably in World War∥, when they were used to send commands over broadcast radio to resistance fighters. 특히 세계 제 2차 대전 에 jargon code는 라디오방송을 통해 명령을 저항군 들에게 보내기 위해 사용되었다.
