Is there a Best English in the world? Angela said that Hollywood English is the most widely heard and understood and therefore Hollywood English is the most widely sought-after dialect for non-English speakers. But I think, however much someone experience American culture, he can speak American English as if it were his native language? I think it is impossible. At least if someone lives his own country, he has no choice but to use his mother tongue and can’t deviate from his national custom. That is to say, if non-native speaker wants to speak English exactly like American or British, he has to give up his own culture and custom.

And then what is best English? Many people think it depends on the style of English. For example, someone thinks British English is more advanced than American English. It is prejudice resulted from the fact that UK is the origin of English and British accent is more distinct. But British English and American English are both English. The difference of them is not the difference of level but difference of culture and location. British English and American English are equally different English. What I want to say is Best English should not be at the mercy of location.
