Today, I will introduce the thermochromism of organic and inorganic compound, polymer and sol-gel.
I will talk about these examples.

Mechanism: Isomerization, Tautomerization, Cis-Trans Isomerization,
Ring-Opening/Ring-Closing (Structural change)

First, The organic compounds used in fiber, optics, optic storage device and optic sensor.
This thermochromism have advantage of clearly color change and fine control, but the higt cost and low color density is disadvantages.
The color could be changed by this mechanism in this statement.
For example, When crystalline solid is transformed into isotropic liquid state, the intermediate phase as cholesteric mesophase is created.
This mesophase is stable and useful at atmosphere in thermochromic printing ink technique.
