1a. Provide a synopsis of the movie
On 18 August 1868, there was a solar eclipse which aroused negative mood in Thailand. A young housewife, Nak, became a pregnant and gave a birth while he husband Mak went to a war. Sadly, Nak dies during childbirth. But her spirit couldn’t go to the other world because they were in a great love. So she stays in her house with her baby in the form of a ghost.
Meanwhile, Mak wounded himself severely in the war and lose one of his close friends. Then he sent to a temple. Some monks took a good care of him, and when he recovered the abbot of the temple tells him to be a monk. However, he chose to go home to live with his lovely wife and baby.
He sees Nak waiting for him in front of his house and he is nothing but happy to meet her again. Unfortunately, he has no idea about Nak’s death and he believes that he is living with his wife happily.
One day, Mak ran into his old friend Um and then he found out his good friend freaks out about seeing him. Mak wonders why and asks to Nak. Nak says that the villagers blame her for inappropriate behavior because they believe that she cheated on Mak.
Soon, everyone who tries telling the truth to Mak dies include his old buddy Um. Villagers get anxious and frustrated about this and decide to burn the whole house down to get rid of the ghosts.
