Intermediate Students: 6 Length: 45 minutes Materials:
10 copies of the activity sheet `Big Brother`
Role Cards (1 for each Ss)
Realia to explain vocabulary (pictures)
Papers for writing Aims:
Students learn and practice new vocabulary through the activity..
Students practice and develop their speaking skill through doing the activity.
Students think and speak through the logical way
Students improve their discussion skill through role play. Language Skills:
Speaking : the activity and discussion
Reading : scanning
Writing : board, role cards Language System:
Lexis: get on, mother figure, bubbly, snob
Function: asking/ giving information during the activity
Phonology: practicing new vocabulary
Discourse: through discussion Assumptions:
Students already know:
About a reality TV program
The structure of simple tense
Class consists of 10 Korean students
Anticipated Errors and Solutions:
Some students may not know another vocabulary that teacher didn`t teach.
=> explain them quickly
- Students may be confused with the activity.
=> Monitor and assist when necessary
- Some students may finish earlier or later
=> Give time limit/have fast students check again
- The class time is too short or long to finish.
=> Do S.O.S. plan (T/F Game)
