1. The Definition and Concept of Foreign Workers
A foreign worker is called as a migrant worker, an immigrant worker, a guest worker, a contract worker, a temporary worker, or an alien worker, but it clearly refers to `a worker who works in foreign countries for a certain period of time`. ASWC(Asian Migrant Workers Center) encourages the term `migrant worker,` and it is more respectful term than `foreign worker`.
1) The Difference between `foreign worker` and `migrant worker`
① Foreign Worker - Brings the concepts as a foreign labor force working in a industrial field, a term applied as discriminated labor force from Koreans
② Migrant Worker - Though for short period, they work with all due respect earned as labor force. This term includes Chinese-Korean, and the Third World Labors.
