Bram Stoker’s Dracula directed by Francis Coppola is well known as the movie which focused on the original novel comparatively well. However, because of the feature the medium ‘movie’ has, we can still find some differences from the original one in many aspects. From now on, I’ll examine what is the difference and how it is different between the movie and the novel.
Before discussing about the differences, I need to mention the novel first because the novel itself has a significant aspect – the narratives. From the very beginning to the end, the main stream which leads this novel is different kinds of text. All happened around characters is mostly described in their private journals, letters, and sometimes telegrams and even newspaper. It means that there are several speakers who deliver the stories in first person narrative and it makes the story more complicated but more interesting
